Next Steps

The act of baptism is a public profession of your faith in God. As you prepare for baptism it will give you the opportunity to reflect on what God has done in your life and how incredible the gift of God’s salvation really is. If you feel nervous, join the crowd, but know that God is going to be right there beside you every step of the way. Baptism is an exciting spiritual defining moment and we at Calvary are looking forward to sharing it with you. Know that there’s nothing more that we would want than for you to continue to grow as a Christ follower.

Child dedication is a non-compulsory privilege given to Christian parents regularly attending our church. In this act they will publicly confess that they promise, by God’s grace, to live the Christian faith in such a way that will encourage their child to desire Christ as their personal Saviour and Lord.

When we become a Christ follower we are automatically welcomed as a member in the body of Christ.  1 Corinthians tells us "For we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body".  As believers we are called to be active participants in the church, formal membership is an opportunity to express our commitment to our local community of believers.  We encourage you to consider how you can put your God given gifts to work by joining our mission to bring God's light to our community by becoming a formal member.
